  • This must be today's "I hate rich people" installment from MSNBC. Last I looked, a man's salary has nothing to do with his ability to lead. These examples come to mind. John Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, Ronald Reagon, George Bush (1) were all from families with money.

  • Tex, it all started in 1975, when the Feds started paying for the millions that go wasted in every school district! With the money came the National lowering of standards, the lack of corporal punishment, the inability to keep children after school or in at recess.

  • I taught elementary students during the 1970's. Every year, my students made me a homemade paddle, complete with holes for faster action. The padde was never used once in ten years. However, it was prominently displayed at the front of my classroom.

  • The Pulitzer Panel has reached a new low by naming The Huffington Post as a winner. I thought they had sunk to the lowest when they gave Obama the prize a short time after he got into office. A new low for Pulitzer. It seems the more liberal you are, the better chance you have to win!
